Appraisals can be one of the easiest ways to find out the value of your sword. Whether your sword is Japanese or European, it is best that you have it appraised at some point. Here at Blade Maid I offer an Independent appraisal service that is affordable for everyone. Rates are listed below. This service is only available to people residing in the United States. Please use the contact sheet below to send me your information before making your order. This will help me better determine the time it will take to appraise your weapon(s). Your name, e-mail address, and a brief description of the sword(s) should suffice.
Rates:
Basic: $65.00* per sword. This package includes basic information about the sword, including basic measurements, style of fittings and approx. resale value. Appraisal time: about one week.
Informative: $95.00* per sword. This package includes basic information about the sword, including possible forge name and maker, detailed measurements, style of fittings and approx. resale value. Appraisal time: about two weeks.
Deluxe: $125.00* per sword. This deluxe package includes basic information about the sword, including detailed measurments, any information about forge and swordsmith, styles of fittings and approx. resale value. As part of the deluxe package, the sword(s) shall be cleaned and oiled. Booklet on appropriate care is included. Appraisal time: about two weeks.
IF YOU WOULD LIKE, there is the option to purchase a signed, dated, and numbered certificate of independent appraisal for an extra $10.00. All packages do include a standard facts sheet with measurements and basic information.
BOTH THE BASIC AND INFORMATIONAL APPRAISAL PACKAGES ARE AVAILABLE AT THIS TIME. THE DELUXE HOWEVER, IS NOT. I’LL KEEP EVERYONE UPDATED AS TO WHEN THIS WILL BE AVAILABLE.
