The sword market today has had a boost in production. However, that production is not the result of good quality manufacturers producing more swords. On the contrary, it is from the large number of cheap stainless steel Chinese knock-offs. They clog shelves and claim things that, upon inspection, are found not to be true. It is a shame that such things have happened in the sword market today.
There is an upside to this however. For the beginning collector it offers a wealth of choices for pretty looking, cheap swords that can be used for display purposes. A collector who is looking to buy a sword for its historical appeal and/or for its display quality will have no trouble attaining such an item. However, it should be pointed out that cheapo Chinese knock-offs:
SHOULD NOT BE USED TO CUT ANYTHING, IN ANY WAY/SHAPE/FORM, BECAUSE IT COULD RESULT IN SEVERE INJURY AND EVEN DEATH!!!
